NCCMH Internship Program

North Country Community Mental Health works with interns at the Bachelor and Master levels to assist them with the completion of their educational requirements in the discipline of Behavioral Health.  We offer interns a program that includes a variety of opportunities with our wide spectrum of services within the behavioral health field.  Every internship is individualized based upon the interests of the student.

Interns will learn about the coordination of services, working with mental illness and intellectual or developmental disability populations, writing assessment and plans of service, and what they can expect to experience on a daily basis when employed within the behavioral health field.  Many of our interns are offered full time positions at the end of their internship, upon completion of their degrees.

NCCMH Educational Benefits

North Country Community Mental Health values education and works to provide staff with assistance towards the cost of education. Below is an outline of the program that we offer and some state and federal programs that are beneficial to our staff. Our dedicated Human Resources team provides our staff with assistance when they go to apply for these programs.

NCCMH offers a tuition reimbursement program. Tuition Reimbursements are at the discretion of management and are based on the degree sought, potential of continued employment with the organization, length of service with the organization, applicability of degree to the job and/or future positions in the organization, a statement from the candidate regarding purpose, intentions, and personal commitment, and availability of funds.

Michigan Reconnect provides free in-district tuition at a Michigan community college to earn an associate degree or Pell-eligible skill certificate.
