Hello
and welcome to North Country Community
Mental Health!
We are pleased that you are
visiting this web site, and hope it
answers any questions you have about our
agency.
North
Country CMH is the public behavioral
health agency serving the six counties at
the tip of northwest
Lower Michigan
. It
was created in April 2003 through the
merger of Northern Michigan CMH and Antrim
Kalkaska CMH.
Both previous agencies had more
than 30 years of experience in community
service.
We hope to continue this fine
tradition of quality, consumer-centered
care.
At
North Country, our vision is to set the standard for
excellence in behavioral health care.
In
FY 2010,
North Country
served 4,091 persons with an expenditure
of just over $32 million.
That represents quite a bit of
activity in a very large geographic area.
Our staff and board members,
however, are up to the challenge.
With dedication and skill, they
fulfill our mission of ensuring the
provision of behavioral health services
that improve the quality of life in our
communities.
North
Country CMH also serves as the Medicaid
prepaid health plan for the Northern
Affiliation.
This is an affiliation of three
mental health boards and a coordinating
agency:
Northeast Michigan CMH, AuSable
Valley CMH, North Country CMH and Northern
Michigan Substance Abuse Services.
As the Medicaid prepaid health
plan,
North Country
manages approximately $70 million in
Medicaid resources serving over 5,835
Medicaid enrollees in thirteen counties.
We
are fortunate to have the partnership that
we enjoy with our consumers and area
stakeholders, who join us in our
commitment to continuous improvement in
the services offered.
We also are fortunate to live in
the most beautiful area of a very
beautiful state.
If you have visited here, you will
always remember our outstanding lakeshore
vistas, dense forests and warm
communities.
Please
use this site to learn more about us.
We promise you’ll like what you
see.
Sincerely,

Alexis Kaczynski
